Fabulous Finds is a pretty big antique shop. It has a lot of furniture including old sofas and chairs. I really don’t like sitting in old furniture because I am afraid it might have mildew and mold. When I go to an antique shop, I like to see different wood crafts. This store had a lot of furniture made from different kinds of wood. In fact, the best antique I’ve ever seen was the ice box from this shop. Back in the day, people had to use ice in order to refrigerate anything. I had never seen an ice box before, so it was cool to see one that had a big space on the bottom for a block of ice. I also liked that the shop had an old-style desk. I don’t know what they are called, but the top is curved and can be folded up to open the desk. Some of them have a lock on the front to keep the top from folding up.
Fabulous Finds mostly has furniture, but there was also decorations and art. On one of the tables I found a set of forks and spoons made of gold! I’m not really a fan of most of the other stuff. In the storefront there were a few stained glass panels that I would like to show my dad, since he likes to make stained glass art. Overall, the shop is pretty nice and isn’t too crowded with stuff.
