Greenbelt Park

32 sec read

Greenbelt Park is a National park located in the suburbs of Greenbelt near Washington DC. The Park is divided by the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (also operated by the National Park Service), which was built following the park’s designation in 1950. Greenbelt Park contains picnic spots, campgrounds, and about 5 miles of hiking and equestrian trails to enjoy.

Even though the park is located in a large city, it can be peaceful on the trails with minimal urban distractions other than the occasional airplane overhead. Also don’t worry about getting lost–the trails are well marked and run parallel to the Perimeter trail, which loops around the outside of the park.
