Gunpowder Falls State Park is one of the largest parks in MD. It is mostly known for the Gunpowder River and the waterfalls in the park. The park is broken into six main areas: The Central, Sweet Air, and Hereford areas are best for hiking, while the others have different activities including picnicking, swimming, and biking on a rail trail. Hiking in the Central area is shown in the gallery below, which goes to the Lost Pond, and on the way back, to the ruins of a sawmill.
